Tightener, also known as ratchet tightener, is used as tightening conductor in overhead line laying construction.  When using, loosen the wire rope or galvanized iron wire on the wire tightener first, and fix it on the cross arm, clamp the wire with wire clamp, and then pull the special plate hand.  Due to the anti-reversal action of the pawl, the wire rope or galvanized iron wire is gradually wound around the ratchet drum to tighten the wire.  Fasten the tightening wire to the insulator.  Then loosen the pawl to loosen the wire rope or galvanized iron wire, then loosen the wire clamp, and finally wrap the wire rope or galvanized iron wire around the drum of the ratchet wheel.
